Washington Area Road-skaters

Washington area Road- skaters (WAR) is one of the oldest in- line skate clubs on the east coast. It is a non- profit organization, which was founded in 1987 to promote the cause of safe and enjoyable in- line skating in the Washington DC area.

Skating is one of the best loved sports of all times. Learn to skate like a seasoned veteran at WAR. Skating is an exhilerating expereince which lifts up your spirit. Learn to glide through the floor with effortless skill.

WAR offers free skating clinic on Saturdays at noon. Basic skating skills and ‘how to stop' skills are taught in these weekly classes. The free clinics run from April to October. You are free to attend as many clinics as you wish. There is no restriction.

So many parties, special skates, special events and skating trips are also organized by WAR. In its social role, ‘WAR' is a platform for meeting interesting people, having diverse backgrounds, tastes and attitudes. But all of them have a common goal – inline skating.
