The 9:30 Club was opened in the year 1980 and is located at the intersection of 9th Street, V Street, and Vermont Avenue in Northwest DC.
The club is a place you really cannot afford to miss. Some of the many performers who have presented their live show there are- R.E.M., Radiohead, Nirvana, and the Smashing Pumpkins. Great music, bar and a lounge all entice you to this happening place. The crowd there is young and pierced, and the atmosphere is dark and intense. Playing in this superbly redesigned space are cutting- edge bands.
A number of music fans flock to the club and the popularity has soared with the highest $$ earned and greatest number of tickets being sold. No matter whether the crowd is less or more, the people are always enthusiastic. The sound is electrifying with riff- rocking guitars, human beat boxes and turntables.
The bar downstairs from the main venue is a great place to escape from the crowd upstairs.
