Takoma Station Tavern came into existence in the year 1984 for all the jazz lovers in Washington D.C. it is a family owned and operated club located in the Takoma Station Park.The club has attracted great artists and music feats such as Jean Carne, Gloria Lynne, Norman Connors, Stevie Wonder, Wynton Marsalis, Donald Byrd, Branford Marsalis and Gil Scott Heron to name a few.

The club features some of DC's finest young and seasoned talent including Washington's own Impresarios, Spur of the Moment, Chuck Brown, Paul Carr, Tim Cunningham, Pure N Naural, Mary Ann Redmond, Selena McDay, Ricky Loza, Maiesha Rashad, the Rhumba Club, and Big Jesse Yawn.

The Club offers live music five nights a week, with early (6:00pm) sets some on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays. Monday night is the lively Comedy night featuring BET- Rap City's Joe Clair. The excellent menu that ranges from appetizers, salads and sandwiches to seafood and drink specials.
