The School Overview
The University of Washington was founded in the year 1861 in downtown Seattle. The 10 acre land used for the establishment of the university was donated by Charles and Mary Terry, Arthur and Mary Denny and Edward Lander. Formerly called The Territorial University of Washington, it was closed several times due to lack of funds. The university has flourished since World War II and earned international reputation on the Graduate and Research programs.
University of Washington Evening Degree Program
Most of the students are unable to complete a degree due to lack of time because of their full time job or other commitments during the day. Now these students who want to complete a degree are able to make it possible through the university’s Evening Degree Program. The available degrees offered are Bachelor of Arts in English, Humanities and Social Science, Communication and Bachelor of Science in Health Informatics and Health Information Management.
