The Banana Cafe is situated on Capitol Hill near Eastern Market in Washington DC. This famous restaurant is known for its Cuban, Puerto Rican, Tex- Mex dishes and the Caribbean food. It is owned by Jorge Zamorano and Analena Valdes. Original Latin art work is also done in the restaurant. Downstairs in this two story oasis you'll find a fully functioning restaurant with all varieties of Latin American food.

Upstairs in the bar you can enjoy empanadas stuffed with beef, chicken or seafood or you can sample tapas, cevice from fresh flounder marinated in citrus juice, or quesadillas – chicken, seafood or spinach. At the same time you can listen to music in the piano bar.Mango margaritas, ropa vieja and Picadillo are some other special items at Banana Café.

The wine list at Banana Café is extensive and it offers various wine pairings and combinations. .50 margaritas are very popular during their ‘happy hour'.
